Camps Bay High School is known for its diversity of culture and talent. Our active component of enthusiastic pupils and educators take part in a wide variety of dramatic and visual art disciplines. Pupils act and compete in shows, concerts and competitions at local, national and international level. A variety of competitions and events throughout the year encourage more pupils to take part in the various clubs and societies that embrace cultural aspects of life.

Aims & Objectives

Addressing the needs of all our pupils from Grade 8 to Grade 12, we endeavour to;

• promote the development of talent in arts & culture;
• encourage creative use of leisure time through practising cultural activities;
• extend the range of experiences in arts & culture to all students;
• provide experiences which reflect variety, vitality, challenge, achievement, joy, maximum participation and personal satisfaction;
• develop an understanding of the arts and the diverse culture of peer groups;
• assist each student to attain their full cultural potential;
• provide opportunities for leadership, initiative, responsibility and self-esteem;
• provide opportunities to learn the disciplines of a variety of cultural activities.
