Dear Past Pupils,

It has been a while since we have made contact.  The purpose of this email is to update you on some developments in the Past Pupils Union.

We are delighted to announce that Past Pupil (Class of 1993) and Current Parent, Cara Kahn, (nee Bjergfelt) has come on board as Chairperson of the Camps Bay High School Past Pupils Union, and is a newly co-opted member of the Camps Bay High School SGB.

Cara and her family are well connected and have been part of the Camps Bay community for many generations.

We are currently looking for Year Convenors for each Matric Class from 1956 to 2018.  If you are interested in being the appointed representative for your year, please email pastpupils@campsbayhigh.co.za.

Obviously, we are looking for Convenors who still have contact with the majority of their Class and would be willing to assist with communication and organising reunions, sports days and other events.

Our top priority is to find Convenors for the Classes of 1989, 1999 and 2009 to finalise arrangements for the 10, 20 and 30-year Reunions.

Class of 1979 will be hosting their 40th Reunion on Thursday, 18 April 2019.

FOUNDER’S DAY 2019

Please download the attached invitation to 113th Founder’s Day Celebration which takes place on Friday, 26 April 2019 from 11h00 a.m. – we do hope you can join us.

PAST PUPILS SPORTS DAY

We had proposed hosting a Past Pupils Sports Day on Saturday, 27 April 2019 but due to the Public Holiday we have not had a good response.  We, therefore, have postponed till Saturday, 27 July 2019 which will coincide with the Annual Camps Bay High School vs. Table View High School Derby Day.  We will be holding a special Waterpolo event in December – details will follow later in the year.

REUNION DATE

We have a proposed date for Reunions at school of Saturday, 30 November 2019, however, this is open for discussion, if classes feel another date would be more suitable for them. This would be the job of the Year Convenors to arrange.
